Highlights
Close to 350 delegates attended the annual Food Safety Forum 2018 on August 30, whereas 22 companies earned their laurels for excellent performance in upholding food traceability. The Forum was kicked off with a speech by Dr. Chui Tak-yi, Under Secretary for Food and Health Bureau, who emphasized the enhancement on supply chain efficiency brought by information technology, which in turn results in food traceability and enhance the competitive edges of the food industry.
The Forum had enlisted top-notch speakers from the Centre of Food Safety Centre, GSFI, Walmart, Vitasoy, Café de Coral, XDynamics, who shared their perspectives and best practices on foodtech and food safety. Our Chief Executive, Anna Lin, also highlighted that it requires a common set of standards to help scale across the complex, global supply chain, and to maintain a clear, unbroken record, so end-to-end traceability and visibility along the food chain are made possible.
The Award Presentation Ceremony for Quality Food Traceability Scheme 2018 was also held which heralded an increasing number of companies joining the Scheme these years.
