Dr So was the Dean of School of Continuing Education, Hong Kong Baptist University before joining the Transport and Housing Bureau. Prior to that, he worked at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Hang Seng Management College, responsible for teaching, research and academic administration. Dr So had also served in various public services; and was a non-official member of different committees of the Hong Kong Housing Authority from 2007 to March 2017.

Rebecca is the Regional Site-in-charge and Senior Operation Director for Hong Kong K11 Art Mall, K11 MUSEA, Victoria Dockside and SKYCITY. She oversees operations of these iconic projects.

Since joining K11 in 2013, Ms. Woo has initiated Art-in-one as a new business model for K11 Hong Kong and has led numerous successful campaigns, bringing the revolutionary Art x Commerce business model to life, and has curated award-winning disruptive business innovation and digital initiatives. Under her leadership, K11 Hong Kong has garnered over 100 internationally acclaimed awards. She was appointed as the Site-in-charge of K11 MUSEA, the new global flagship of K11 Group. In 2018, Ms Woo took the helm as Regional Site-in-charge and led the SKYCITY Project, the largest integrated retail, dining and edutainment development in Hong Kong. Prior to K11, Ms. Woo was the Corporate Affair Director for New World Department Store. She has over 25 years of retail experience in both Mainland China and Hong Kong.

Ms. Woo holds an Associate Degree in Arts from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from University of Technology, Sydney, majoring in Marketing and Corporate Communications.

Jez started his logistics career in 1992 with Tibbett and Britten Group as a graduate trainee. During his career he has held operational and development roles across many geographies. His international career started in 1998 when he moved to Dubai. During the 13 years he was there, he worked in Africa, Middle East and the Commonwealth Independent States (CIS), at one point Jez specialized in Oil and Gas Logistics working on contracts for Saudi Aramco, and Shell PDO Oman.

In 2011, he moved to China and ran the Business Development Department for DHL Supply Chain Greater China, before transferring to his current role in Hong Kong in 2016. Just recently, Jez has transitioned from DHL to SF Holdings as part of the partnership between SF Holdings and DHL Supply Chain in China and Hong Kong.

Jez is married and has one son aged 10, and is a long suffering Portsmouth Fan.

Dr. Kwan has extensive experience in corporate management, strategic planning, marketing management and financial advisory in various sectors, in particular financial services, banking and retail for over 30 years. He is the Chairman of Pricerite Group (實惠集團) and CASH Financial Services Group (時富金融) under the CASH Group.

Dr. Kwan is active in serving the community. Among others, he is a director and past chairman of the Hong Kong Retail Management Association (HKRMA). He is also the deputy chairman of Business Facilitation Advisory Committee (BFAC) and non-executive director of Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA). He is a John Harvard fellow of the Harvard University and an honorary fellow of The Open University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Kwan was the “Entrepreneur of the Year 2009”, Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards, which recognised his outstanding entrepreneurial achievements and significant contributions to economic life and society. In 2016, Dr. Kwan was named “Man of the Year for Leadership in Asia” by IAIR, the world’s leading financial magazine, which recognizes outstanding professionals who actively promote excellences in innovation and sustainability. In 2018, he was bestowed with the “World Outstanding Chinese Award” by World Chinese Business Investments Foundation recognising his contribution to the global Chinese society.

Mr. Kent Wong Siu-Kee is the Managing Director of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited (“the Group”), a Hong Kong Main Board Listed Company. He joined the Group in 1977 and was appointed as Managing Director in July 2011. He is a member of the Nomination Committee and Remuneration Committee of the Company and is responsible for the strategic planning and overall management of the Group.

Mr. Wong has diverse experience in business development as well as in operations and management. He was responsible for developing the Group’s market in Mainland China and in 2008 he was promoted to managing director of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Company Limited.

Mr. Wong was named as “CEO of the Year/Luxury/Asia” at the 2016 IAIR Awards presentation ceremony held by International Alternative Investment Review. He was also named as “Asia’s Best CEO (Investor Relations)” by Corporate Governance Asia, an authoritative regional journal on corporate governance, at its Asian Excellence Award in 2017, 2018 and 2019 consecutively.

Mr. William Shum is the founder and CEO of Memorigin Watch Company Limited. He graduated from Cornell University attaining his Masters degree, majoring in applied economics and management. He completed the Financial Risk Management (FRM) exams after coming back to Hong Kong and worked in investment banking for a year. He then started his entrepreneurship by utilizing his in-house watch factory to create the first Hong Kong tourbillon brand – Memorigin. The brand has only started for several years, but is now selling in more than 20 countries including Taiwan, Japan USA, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Australia, etc…, and 50 points of sales in Hong Kong such as Prince Jewellery & Watch, Oriental Watch Group and ISA. He has led Memorigin to attain numbers of awards and recognitions from the society such as 2011 Hong Kong Emerging Brand by CMAHK & HKBDC and champion of 2012 HSBC Youth Business Award. In particular, he was nominated and got the Young Industrialist Awards of Hong Kong in 2015 and Chinese Outstanding Youth in 2016. His brand Memorigin won the Hong Kong Top Brand 2019.

Ms. Chan is the Executive Director of Tai Hing Group Holdings Ltd. (太興集團) which is a multi-brand casual dining restaurant group originated in Hong Kong for 30 years, with over 200 restaurants in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Macau and Taiwan. She is mainly responsible for overall strategic planning, including capital financing, investor relationship management, brand building, marketing, talent management and corporate compliance.

Ms. Chan actively serves both the community and the catering service industry including, among others, currently serving as member of the board of directors of the Hong Kong Federation of Restaurants and Related Trades, committee member of the Industry Advisory Committee on Long Term Business of the Insurance Authority in Hong Kong, member of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal Panel in Hong Kong and member of the Advisory Board of Continuing and Professional Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has been a member of the Consumer Council in Hong Kong and the Griffith Business School’s Bachelor of Business (Hong Kong) Industry Advisory Committee.

Ms. Chan has garnered the “Leaders of Excellence 2014” award presented by Capital Magazine, “Outstanding Leader Award 2017” by Weekend Weekly and Economic Digest as well as “Asian Outstanding Leaders Awards for Women 2018” by the Asian College of Knowledge Management, in recognition of her tremendous contributions to the industry and the economy over the years.

Mr. Jeff Law joined Sun Fat Heung Food Products Ltd., which is a Hong Kong-based company established over 60 years, specialized in the manufacturing of soya products, in 1996. He acts as a Director and leads the company, while overseeing the organization’s operations in purchasing raw materials and identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals.

Mr. Law setup a brand “Top Soya” in 2007; Top Soya is dedicated to improving the production technique of soya food and integrating tradition with modern management.

In the period of time, Top Soya had gained ISO 22000:2005 & HACCP management certification. In compliance with international standard, Top Soya has set up a sound food management system with the employment of advanced technology, in an effort to enhance safety and traceability of food products.

Top Soya has over 2,000 points of sales throughout Hong Kong now, covering different sales channels, so as to enable customers to enjoy fresh soya products anytime and anywhere.

Mr Neil Waters holds the dual role of General Manager and Director of Swire Coca-Cola Hong Kong plus the role of Executive Director, Hong Kong and Taiwan of Swire Coca-Cola. In this capacity Mr. Waters is in charge of the day to day management of the HK business for Swire Coca Cola plus identifying and implementing strategies and synergies between these two Greater China markets.

A native of Australia, Mr. Waters began his career in the beverage industry as a management trainee for Coca-Cola Bottlers Sydney , in 1982. He later joined The Coca-Cola Company in Australia and was promoted to the position of Brand Manager.

Mr. Waters left the Coca-Cola business in 1986 and entered the alcoholic beverage industry where he held a variety of management positions for both Allied Domecq and International Distillers and Vintners. Mr Waters has been in Asia since 1993 , when he moved to Hong Kong as the Regional Marketing Director for Allied Domecq.

Mr Waters first joined Swire Beverages (now Swire Coca-Cola) as Sales and Marketing Director of Swire Coca-Cola Hong Kong in 1998. In the past 27 years, since first arriving in Asia , Mr Waters has lived & worked in HK , Singapore , Shanghai , Xiamen and Taiwan.

In addition to his initial role in Swire Coca-Cola HK , Mr. Waters has held multiple senior management roles while at Swire Coca-Cola, including COO of Shenmei Beverages , Shanghai , Director and General Manager of Swire Coca-Cola Beverages Xiamen and Luquan Industries & was most recently, the Director and General Manager of Swire Coca-Cola Taiwan, before being promoted to his current post.

Mr. Waters has a bachelor of business degree from University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).

Carine Pin is Co-Director of The Mills Fabrica and focuses on building the techstyle community, developing partnerships and designing Fabrica’s incubation program.

Prior to joining Fabrica, Carine worked in marketing and consulting at major international luxury brands including Guerlain, Richemont Group and Shanghai Tang, where she held various positions in corporate marketing, communication and operational marketing, strategic marketing and product development as well as business operations. Carine also worked as a consultant helping smaller international premium and luxury brands expand their business in Asia and local companies develop new products and retail concepts.

With a passion to help and connect, Carine is a MIM in Performance Management graduate from French business school NEOMA.

Adam Hershman is the General Manager for Greater China, APAC Distribution and Travel Retail for leading international premium travel lifestyle brand TUMI. In this role, Adam is responsible for building the brand and overseeing the business in the region. Adam possesses a strong knowledge of the TUMI brand as well as the retail environment and consumer behavior in APAC.

Adam holds a diverse background of international business experience, starting his career in investment banking in New York and holding several roles over the last 11 years in the retail space ranging from Product Marketing, Buying, Planning and Store Operations within Asia and the United States.

Adam joined TUMI in 2013 as a Product Manager for Men’s Products in New York. As an accomplished strategist for leading global brand development and establishing clear vision for the categories, Adam quickly ascended to become the Director of Product Management and Licensing assuming global responsibility for many of TUMI’s most iconic and technical products. Highly credentialed with a strong ability to customize strategy and understand consumer behavior by market, combined with his strong track record in running retail business, Adam was appointed to the position of TUMI General Manager Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau in October 2016. In 2018, he was promoted to his current role, adding APAC Distribution and Travel Retail to his Greater China remit.

In this role, Adam led 3 award-winning, out-of-store retail experiences for the TUMI brand in APAC: The TUMI House (2018), The TUMI Lodge (2018) and The TUMI Loft (2019). For these installations TUMI received over ten industry accolades recognising the brand’s ability to create breakthrough, technology-driven experiences for the region’s customers, allowing them to explore and engage with TUMI on another level. Awards included: ‘Campaign of the Year 2019’, ‘Best Use of Technology’ and ‘Best PR Campaign – Consumer Brand’ awarded by Marketing Magazine to name just a few. Adam was also named one of the top 5 “Innovative Retail Leaders in Hong Kong” in 2019 by Inside Retail Magazine.

Adam further spearheaded the selection of Hollywood Star Chris Pratt as the face of TUMI’s 2019 seasonal campaigns for Asia and Middle East, a partnership that kicked off with the star’s appearance in Hong Kong in April 2019.

Prior to joining TUMI, Adam held positions at Christian Dior Couture in New York and luxury travel retailer DFS Group in Hong Kong. Adam spent over 5 years with DFS accumulating extensive Greater China and Asia experience in roles covering liquor, accessories, jewelry, watches, and perfumes categories.

Adam earned a BA in International Relations from Colgate University. He is bilingual with full business proficiency in French.

Walden is a cofounder and the chief hustler at unspun. Previously, Walden held retail, operating, investment and strategy experiences at lululemon, IDEO, Goldman Sachs and GGV Capital. He has an MBA from Stanford University. Originated from Hong Kong, he now manages the business team on business development, strategy, marketing and supply chain operations.

Cindy is the General Manager, Greater China, heading up the YouGov business in Hong Kong and China. Leveraging the unique YouGov solutions, she helps clients to understand the latest consumer market trends and generate insights for making informed decisions.

Based in the Hong Kong office, Cindy has almost 20 years of consumer insights experience on branding & proposition, advertising and customer journey. Prior to joining YouGov, Cindy was the Global Account Director at The Nielsen Company.

As the RFID business leader in Avery Dennison, Jonson has been driving business development initiatives and developing business strategies for RFID technology in Asia Pacific. He is the driving force in this field, who supports the industry, GS1, partners and customers in building RFID success cases and references in industries as diverse as manufacturing, logistics, retail, aviation, agriculture, pharmaceutical etc., leading customers to reveal the benefits of RFID solutions.

In the last 13 years, Jonson has been a frequent speaker on RFID technology, sharing his insights on this powerful and advanced technology at knowledge sharing talks, training sessions in more than 200 organizations, education institutes, trade shows, conferences, association, press and media etc. He also played an active role in EPCglobal Hong Kong by supporting on launching a series of communication and promotion programs in the industry. Jonson has been recognized by publications in China as the most valuable RFID industry advocacy individual for multiple times.

Jonson was graduated from the University of Warwick, with Masters of Science in Information Technology for Manufacture, and Masters of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering.

Mr. Jacky Tsoi has more than 20 years of finance and accounting management experience in various industries.

Mr. Tsoi graduated from Manchester Business School and is currently a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant.

Jeffrey joined P&G from Guangzhou, China in 1995. Jeffrey has broad experiences in leading supply chain management across different business units, including Beauty, Health, Grooming and Baby Care, and markets across Greater China, Japan, Asia and Europe.

From July 2017, Jeffrey returned to Guangzhou, China as the Vice President of Supply Chain of P&G Greater China.

Charlie is an experienced sales professional veteran and had been serving Hong Kong Telecom for more than 23 years. Mr. HO is a member of the Logistics Industry Training Advisory Committee, the Hong Kong Town Planning Board, the Private Columbaria Appeal Board, and two sub-committees of the Hong Kong Maritime & Port Board of the Hong Kong SAR Government. He has been a member of the Logistics Development Council, the Port Operations Committee, the Dangerous Goods Standing Committee for several years and Chairman of the Hong Kong Liner Shipping Association for 1993-1995. I spent 35+ years in the it industry mainly in the retail sector and had served fmcg, health & beauty, consumer electronics, wine businesses, and now i am a cio ( customer-centric, with integrity in my mind, and always optimistic ) of a fashion retailing group

My job is mainly a people-related job, not a technology-related job, because i have to deal with lots of staff in the mis department and also i have to manage very high expectations and tough target from the management

I am more an in-house change management agent because there are plenty of people and business change challenges, and at the end of day, it goes back to making the business “better, simpler with business values”

Abstract of Presentation

I would like to share what our company is doing in next 9-12 months on an overall initiative around online-to-offline, in which an enterprise data portal will be built from scratch along with a digital asset management solution to integrate the erp, wms, ecom web store and mobile app, wechat, crm, and bi operations.

Our objective is to solve the current pains in different business areas in handling data, particularly on plu and article data, and to allow the entire business to have one common data repository

We suffer a lot in managing data, different departments like buying, merchandizing, logistics, e-commerce, procurement, cs, marketing, etc are heavily relying on good data management, they need different data for different purposes, in our business operations. The root cause was when we did our erp in 2014 and our O2O in 2017, we had not focused on governing the source and integrity of plu data and we had allowed free flow of excel info into our main stream ERP system without proper data management, data attributes and data requirements from different areas were not covered, or even not being addressed at all

We start to realize that data management is crucial to boost business efficiency in providing timely, accurate data with integrity. We need a data management tool and we need data governance

I.T is currently engaging gs1hk in an enterprise data portal and today I am here to share this as a live case study.

Jerrel Leung is the Chief Architect of ubiZense and he is responsible for designing AI-based analytics leveraging on IoT-enabled big data. He has over 10 years of experience in the IoT field. Prior to joining ubiZense, Jerrel was a Research Assistant Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and he has taken upon several project management positions at renowned international organizations. A recent project led by Jerrel has received a grand and gold award at the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2019 and an award at the WITSA Global ICT Excellence Award 2019.
